To the one star reviews because Ethan was killed. I say no where does it say that he was killed, just that things went black, that can mean many things. I want to rate the book as a whole and I thought it was great. The adoption story was heartwarming and so well thought out. We got to know the new characters better, while visiting with old friends. Readers don't dismiss the book because of one short storyline. This book is one of the best so far. Highly recommend ... oh and I hear there may be one more. :)Product details

Love this series!
Laughed,cryied.it had it all
What an awful way to end an enjoyable series. It seems as if the authors are laughing at their readers.
Did you just kill ETHAN?! I can't believe it. It was such a wonderful series,and you had to ruin it at the very end. Ethan was my favorite character. As if everything you had put him through in previous books was not enough. The only way for you,guys, to redeem yourselves, is write another book, and somehow bring him back to life. Even Conan Doyle was able to resurrect Sherlock Holmes by popular demand.)
I would caution anyone who loves the series to NOT read the two short stories at the end. Very depressing way to end the series. There is a little note from Caleb that there might be tears. And for those who have read past the warning, they don't come out and say Ethan is dead. Just that his world fades to black. So I'm gonna cover my ears (in worldwide best-brat-behavior), stick out my tongue and hum "I'm not listennninng to yoooouu..." and stay in denial.
